“There’s a closely knit music scene in Newcastle which, when we started the band, we had never been a part of,” explains guitarist and singer Andrew Young. “We spent a lot of time trying to fit in and be accepted, but then we realized that’s not what we’re about. We were the outsiders. We wanted to exist on our own. I just think it took a while to realize that was the best way to go about things.”
